New lawn
A beautiful garden for a beautiful property
The front garden of this lovely period property in Swansea was made equally lovely with a lawn trim, hedge trims and clearing of paths and general tidy up of planted areas.
Roofed Pergola near Neath
Patio levelled and a new pergola added to long garden
Pergolas are a great way to add structure to a long garden, helping to create different zones. For this project near Neath, an older patio was levelled by the addition of new slabs in each corner and rebedding of neigbouring slabs to create a firm foundation for the pergola posts. This pergola had a roof, creating an area to sit even in summer showers.
Raised paving area
New paving, fence colour and acers transform Gowerton garden
For this makeover in Gowerton, an overgrown raised bed was dug up and sandstone slabs laid to create a paving area for potted plants edged by sleepers. An existing patio was weeded and powerwashed, garden furniture was restained and the fence was given a fresh coat of green/blue paint. Further gravel areas and borders were weeded and cut back. In the front garden, old hedging plants and a dead tree were removed to make room for three new acers to complement the existing acer, which was given a neat trim.
Back garden turf
New turf in Morriston
A new 8 x 5 m area of turf was layed. First any rubble was dug up from the site. The area was sieved and raked to remove stones, before six tonnes of top soil were added. The site was levelled and then turfed. The delivery of turf and top soil was organised by Leafstream using a well-etablished local supplier.
Hedge planting and trimming
From Rubinia and Laurel to Beech and Privet
Leafgreen provides a full hedge care service from plaqnting of new hedges to trimming and shaping. The images above show a small selection of the hedges tended to each season; a long mixed natural species hedge, a front-garden laurel hedge, large privet and holly shaped intop balls, and a new hedge of 60 Rubinia plants along a fence line.

Old sheds given new life with shades of pink and grey
These old brick and wooden sheds in a garden near Pen y Cae were brightened up with grey walls and pink doors.
Decking for dome
Decking for dome in Ystradgynlais
An area of decking was assembled to form a base for a dome to house a hot tub.
New lawn
New lawn for children to play
The project involved clearing a garden of weeds, slabs, gravel and an old water feature before levelling off and adding top soil and turf to create a new lawn for children to play outside.
Landscaping
Steps, Paths and Railings
Paths and steps can be added to your garden for practical or design purposes - or a bit of both! The first pic above show a flight of steps added to access the top tier of a garden - the bank was cut away, before sleeper steps were bolted together, pinned into the ground and filled with sub-base and topped off with a decorative aggregate. Pic two shows bespoke railings added to a small cottage garden in Bryncoch. The third pic is of 24 sandstone paving slabs indivdually cut to size and cemented to an old path in the Afan Valley. The final pic shows class 3 treated sleepers used to replace old steps that had rotted away. The new ones will last 10-15 years.
Hedge trim, shrub shape, borders and paving
A cottage garden was returned to its best by trimming overgrown hedges and shrubs. Borders were revamped with pruning to encourage new flower growth and a deep layer of woodchip was added. Patio slabs were layed for a garden seat and a swing overlooking the valley. The cottage garden was finished off with new pots and planting creating a calm and beautiful space to enjoy.

Leafgreen offers a full lawn care service from mowing and strimming to patch repair and 'feed and weed' and reseeding and turfing. I look after lots of lawns ranging from a few square feet to half and acre.
Landscaping
From old flower bed to new gravel area
As the pics illustrate, an old unkempt corner was cleared of weeds and stumps were removed. A weed barrier membrane was laid and aggregate added ready for garden ornaments.

Leafgreen provides a full fencing service from installation of new boundary fences (feather edge, hit and miss and and modern horizontal designs) through to repairs, painting and removal.
